New Annotation System Without Loading Software All The Benefits of Digital Class Without Having To Load Software & Drivers On Your Notebook PC The new Digital Class Plus allows users to plug their notebook computers into the system and to annotate, record and do electronic whiteboarding without having to install the Digital Class program. This plug-and-play capability offers significant convenience for larger organizations and institutions. For example, schools with guest lecturers who would like to present using their own laptops could plug into the Digital Class Plus system without loading any software. Furthermore, enterprise customers governed by strict policies controlling software usage could use Digital Class without loading new software onto their notebooks. The major benefits: convenience for guests and integrity of enterprise customers’ MIS regulations. How It Works The Digital Class software resides on a host computer (usually placed underneath a lectern) which is included in the system. Users bring their notebook PC to the lectern and connect the monitor cable and the USB cable from the host computer to the notebook. The notebook PC’s desktop then appears as a “window” on the Digital Class electromagnetic LCD monitor. Using the electromagnetic pen, the user touches the pen to the LCD monitor to launch applications from their notebook PC. The user may access all Digital Class software functions (annotation, whiteboading, recording) using the notebook PC without having to install the Digital Class program on the notebook.
