FAQ for the Digital Class™ Electromagnetic Writing Tablet
Question: What makes the Digital Class™ superior to other presentation solutions?
- Ease of use, ease of use, ease of use: Digital Class is easy to use and learn.
- Recording Technology: Digital Class uses proprietary compression algorithms to record presentations (voice and graphics) using significantly less disk space than other methods.
- Bright LCD Screen: The LCD is protected by scratch resistant, high-tempered glass. The glass lets more light through, so Digital Class is brighter
- Small Footprint and Size: Digital Class is smaller than other writing tablets, and is attractively styled. Because of this, it is suitable as a touch screen panel for integrated AV control systems.

Question: What optional stands are available for Digital Class?
- Digital Class comes right out of the box with the stand in the above image. On the back of Digital Class are 4 VESA mounting holes, so Digital Class is compatible with standard LCD monitor mounts. We offer two kinds of optional tilting stands that give the product added stability when tilted at an angle. Finally, some users prefer to flush mount Digital Class in a lectern or podium. In that case, we provide an optional flush mount kit.

Question: What are the differences between Digital Class and Tablet PCs?
- Digital Class is specially designed to be used for presentations and group collaboration. Often it is installed into a lectern or on the table of a meeting room. Digital Class software is specifically designed and cannot be found on tablet PCs. The software allows annotation over any application which can then be recorded—along with voice—then shared with others. It has a larger and sturdier 15” LCD screen that is easy to write on and brighter than notebook PCs. Digital Class can be integrated into a preexisting computer presentation system. Furthermore, Digital Class is available from experienced presentation specialists and system integrators who provide more training and on site support then most PC vendors.

Question: Why does the Digital Class use a USB Security key?
- All users agree—Digital Class software offers exceptional performance and value. As such, the USB key protects the software from piracy. The USB security key is part of the Digital Class system. It plugs into a USB port on the computer and permits the use of the system. It protects the unit from unauthorized use and theft, as without the key the system cannot be operated. Additional keys and software licenses may be purchased. Please contact info@alliance-intl.com for details.
